Læsø is an island positioned between Jutland and Sweden. My family spend our holidays there, and – as is the case for small islands – the sea is always present. Thus water, waves, sand, mud, stones, seaweed and the horizon are the major subjects of this series. This is by no means the truth about Læsø, which also offers good people, free buses, harbors, dunes, chanterelles, langoustines and much more. But it is an attempt to catch the unique feeling of being alone at the shores of this remote, sunny and unspoiled coast.
