During exactly one year I followed a dead fox lying near an foxhole in a nearby forest. During this time it went through stages of decomposition from a nice, reddish, furry animal to bare bones. Through the process, numerous small lives had a feast on the cadaver and the nearby vegetation bloomed with the excess of nutrients. At the end, the skeleton was spread by a badger digging next years den.
